Healing ministry is one of the most vital ministries for the Church since the early period. Jesus during His earthly ministries, healing was His everyday’s encounter, and anyone who comes to Him seeking to heal were healed. When He healed them, it was also a total restoration of life and new beginning. How good it is for someone to start a new life with sound health and mind with spiritual renewal. In lined with the Master’s work, the Missionaries in Naga Hills dare to penetrate the head-hunters’ realm and start to evangelise, show the medical works and healing begun. It was not only physical healing but, a healing to larger societal problems and start a healthier lives.
The Impur Christian Hospital (ICH) has pioneered on healing ministry and nurturing it since 1912 under the supervision of Dr. J.R. Bailey, a renowned American Medical Missionary. The ICH has been one of the best Hospitals in the region and providing enormous services for the people of Mokokchung, Tuensang, Longleng, Zunebhoto and Mon districts.
Today, along with its branch of Diagnostic Centre at Mokokchung Town equipped with laboratory, X-ray, ECG, Endoscopy and pharmacy, the ICH has been doing a lot of charitable works for the needy and has been conducting free medical camps in the interior villages of the above mentioned districts. The Hospital has also a unit of Integrated Counseling and Testing Centre (ICTC) sponsored by the Nagaland AIDS Control Society, through which the ICH provides free HIV blood testing and counselling facilities. Apart from those facilities, it has also a Palliative Care Centre, which was inaugurated on 28th Sept. 2017.
