The need to establish a Vernacular Bible School at was a long felt aspiration. During ABAM Golden Jubilee in 1947, it was resolved to have a Bible School. Thus, the Impur Bible School was declared opened in March 24, 1955 with 9 students.
In course of time this School attracts students from the Eastern Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Nepal and Myanmar. This is the only Vernacular Bible School in the entire North-East India representing more than 15 tribal communities with 160 students.
In course of time this School curriculum was updated and the Senate of Serampore University course for B.Th plus some local needs were added. Students are awarded Diploma in Biblical Studies.
The graduates serves in the remote area with meager salary, yet with great enthusiasm. This School serves as a model for many young students from various tribes in different communities.
