ABAM in 2011 resolved to eradicate alcohol in ten years time from Mokokchung District, in which connection; ABAM has been working on the issue without any attrition hoping to see the District to be faithful to God. As part of that resolution the Social Concern under the wing of ABAM has been initiating various activities.

The training was very successful as people could see now the various roots of addictions from broader spectrum and also an eye opener for the churches to deal with addictions.

The resource persons opined that the church has a bigger role to play as the facilitator in implementing active detox camps and medical facilities to cut down the demand claim of alcohol in the state.

In this regard, ABAM calls on all the churches to work tirelessly to slash down this social menace from the society.
