The farewell and installation of Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM) Executive Secretary was held at Impur on April 1, 2021. It was attended by two members each from all Ao Baptist Churches.

Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener took the charge as the seventh Executive Secretary of ABAM. In his acceptance speech, he expressed immense joy for the opportunity given to him and said that “ he looks unto God for help as he renders his service in ABAM” and asked everyone to uphold him in prayers.

Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener from Longjang village was ordained in 2011 and achieved Professorship from CTC in 2019. He has served as Principal at CTC Aolijen for a period of five years.

Meanwhile, the outgoing Executive Secretary, Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger in his speech thanked his wife and children, ABAM Secretaries and staff, Mokokcung Baptist Church, relatives, and Pastors for their significant support during his ten years of service in ABAM. He and his family will be going to Batam city in Riau Island, Indonesia where he will be teaching in a university, and his wife Amenla will work as a mentor at the same time. Rev. Dr. Mar Atsongchanger was recently appointed as Vice- Master of Serampore College for which ABAM in general congratulate him and wish him a grand and significant success.

The handing and taking over of the Executive Secretary was ministered by Dr. Lolen Imchen, President, ABAM.
